배우이자 캐리커처를 그리는 정은혜 작가만을 위한 주택이다. 이 주택을 설계하면서 크게 세 가지의 고민이 이루어졌다.
This house is designed exclusively for artist Jung Eun-hye, who is both an actress and a caricature artist. There were three major considerations in the design process.
첫째, 예술가 부모님을 둔 예술가의 집에 필요한 요소들에 대한 고민이다. 예술가로서 정은혜 작가는 창의적이고 영감이 넘치는 환경이 필요하다. 이에 따라 집 내부는 다양한 예술 작품을 전시할 수 있는 갤러리 같은 공간과 창작활동을 위한 작업 공간이 포함되어야 한다. 또한, 만화가 어머니와 영화감독 아버지, 캐리커처를 그리는 정은혜 작가가 각자의 작업에 집중할 수 있도록 개인 작업 공간을 마련하고자 하였다.
First, there was a focus on the elements needed for the house of an artist with artistic parents. As an artist, Jung Eun-hye requires a creative and inspiring environment. Therefore, the interior of the house includes spaces that resemble a gallery to display various art pieces and a workspace for her creative activities. Additionally, private workspaces were planned to ensure that each member of the family—Jung Eun-hye, her mother who is a cartoonist, and her father who is a film director—can focus on their respective work.
둘째, 급한 경사지를 가진 대지의 활용에 대한 고민이다. 이 주택은 경사진 대지 위에 지어지므로, 지형을 최대한 활용하면서도 안정적인 형태를 만들고자 노력하였다. 이를 위해 계단식 정원과 테라스를 설계하였고 경사를 자연스럽게 활용해 대지와 조화를 이루도록 했다.
Second, there was a consideration for utilizing the steeply sloped terrain. Since this house is built on sloping land, efforts were made to create a stable structure that maximizes the use of the terrain. To achieve this, terraced gardens and terraces were designed to harmonize with the slope naturally.
셋째, 자연을 바라보는 뷰와 편리한 동선에 대한 고민이다. 정은혜 작가는 자연을 통해 영감을 받는 예술가이기에, 자연과 쉽게 접할 수 있는 동선에 집중하였다. 마당을 다양하게 배치하며 통창으로 외부 자연경관을 감상할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 일상생활에서 편리한 동선을 제공하여, 주거 공간과 작업 공간 간의 이동이 자유롭고 효율적이도록 설계하였다.
Third, there was a focus on views of nature and convenient circulation. As an artist who draws inspiration from nature, Jung Eun-hye needs easy access to natural surroundings. Therefore, the design includes multiple yards and large windows to allow for viewing the natural landscape. Additionally, the layout provides convenient circulation, allowing for free and efficient movement between the living and workspaces.
정은혜 작가의 특성과 생활 패턴을 바탕으로 이러한 고민들이 이루어졌고, 이로써 정은혜라는 클라이언트만을 위한 주택이 완성되었다.
These considerations were based on the characteristics and lifestyle patterns of Jung Eun-hye, resulting in a house designed uniquely for her.
